After serving as a Tactical Air Controller in the US Air Force, Shane studied International Business and Economics at Illinois State University, where he developed an appreciation for the broader role economic policies play in the profitability of both international and domestic companies. After college, Shane began working as a Financial Advisor for Prudential Securities’ Private Client Group, which was later acquired by Wachovia Securities.
In the Spring of 2004, Shane left Wachovia to start Merritt Capital Management, Inc. with the single goal of building a truly great company, one without the biases and hidden agendas found at the major Wall Street firms.
Having, over the years, developed a sound investment model and a healthy client base, he set out to build MCM with a solid set of business principles and the excellent back office support of Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network.
